1. ASCI has issued guidelines for the promotion of Crypto products and NFTs.

The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) recently announced that all virtual digital assets (VDA) products and services should bear a disclaimer: “Crypto products and NFTs are unregulated and can be highly risky. There may be no regulatory recourse for any loss from such transactions.”

2. Instagram has added new tags for Creators.

Now you can add tags for collaborators like photographers, artists, writers, and others on Instagram. This is a great move as those who work on content for the platforms sometimes don’t get due credit or visible credit.

3. Twitter rolls out Creator Dashboard

4. 3% paygap between men and women creators

Even though women creators dominate the space, still they made 3% less money than men creators in 2021. The pay disparity has seeped into the Creatorverse too it seems. It was found in a report released by Izea, an influencer marketing and research firm.

 5. YouTube Creators contributed Rs 6800 to Indian GDP

Based on the surveys in 2021, with more than 6,000 Indian users and businesses, a study conducted by Oxford Economics shows interesting results. The Creator Ecosystem at YouTube is said to have contributed Rs 6800 crore to Indian GDP. It also generated about 6.83 lakh full-time equivalent jobs in India in 2020.
